It’s February, and you know what that means! Black History Month! During this time of year we go back in time and appreciate all of those people, places, and things that have helped get rid of segregation, slavery, racism, and more. ( ) Some famous black history month representatives are Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King jr., Frederick Douglass, Crispus Attucks, Malcolm X, Thurgood Marshall, Nelson Mandela, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Bessie Coleman, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Louis Armstrong, Michael Jackson, Billie Holiday, Cardi B, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, James Baldwin, Mike Tyson, and Malia and Sasha Obama. These people are comprised of activists, slaves, civil rights representatives, leaders, women, men, musicians, writers, entertainers, athletes, and more! They are each proud of their ethnicity, culture, and race. History teaches us a lesson to treat everyone equally as if we’re one and the same. No matter the race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual preferences, skin color, accent, etc. If you see someone being treated unequally, I dare you to step up and teach them a lesson!
