I recently lost my Grandma to a hard battle of COPD, also known as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. “This is a lung disease characterized by obstruction of lung airflow that interferes with normal breathing and is not reversible.” says the World Health Organization. I know that it was very hard on me and the rest of my family to see her go. She always did everything for everybody else before worrying about herself, even if she didn’t want to do that thing or she didn’t like the person.

I know that a lot of people are going through things that no one else in their life knows about. It’s okay to tell someone. I know you probably don’t want to hear it. I never did. I still scoff at the people who try to tell me that. But it is very true. I got really close to my grandma when she would drive me places and I told her everything. She was the one person that I told everything to. Even when I thought no one was there for me, she was. And you can have that one person too. No matter if it’s deep, or just why you had a bad day. No matter if it’s your best friend’s, your mom, your dad, your grandma, or maybe just some random guy on the street that’s friendly. You will always have someone to talk to even if you don’t want to talk. And if you don’t have someone, which you do, you can talk to people at school because there are people that care here. Chances are, they would be glad to hear what you have to say. If you need to talk, just say that you need to talk. Most people will listen, and those are the people you need to have in your life.
