Covid-19

Yes, we are out for school because of the coronavirus. Yes, the coronavirus ( also known as covid-19) was and still is a meme, but do you really know what the coronavirus is? Covid-19 is a large family virus that causes illness to rang from a common cold to a more severe disease like the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. Covid-19 is a zoonotic virus. Which simply just means it is transmitted between humans and animals. This virus started to appear in 2019 in China and since has transmitted into other countries. At the moment all United States have the virus other than the state of West Virginia. Symptoms of Covid-19 are fever, cough, shortness of breath, or breathing difficulties. With more severe cases the virus can cause kidney failure, severe acute respiratory syndrome, or even death. Make sure you are washing your hands regularly, covering your mouth or nose when you cough or sneeze, make sure you eat thoroughly cooked eggs and meat, and not have close contact with a person who is showing symptoms of the virus. Stay safe and have don’t forget to do that schoolwork from home.
