NMS Goes Remote

NMS Goes Remote

Northmont Middle School has just gone remote! I asked principal JarrodBrumbaugh how they made the decision to go remote, he said,”The decision was made to go remote for the middle school only due to the number of staff members in quarantine and our inability to find substitutes to cover classes for the middle school.”

He also said,”We are hopeful that all of our Face to Face students can return to the building next week, but our ability to properly staff our classrooms will be the deciding factor.  As you know this has been a fluid situation from the start and things can change quickly.” We are currently set to go back to school next week but it could change. I was also able to ask what the process to go to remote learning. He said that he was in contact with the superintendent and other stakeholders. After other options were discussed, he decided to take us to remote.
